Dutch Boterkoek "Buttercake"

This is a delicious, creamy, crunchy, light moist and not extremely sweet traditional Dutch pie. Delicious with a cup of coffee or just on it's own

Bake and wait it tastes so much better the next day. Becareful this is very addictive.

Ingredients

  • 200 grams of room temperature butter
  • 10 grams of vanilla sugar (2 bags)
  • salt to taste. Important to carry the flavor
  • 250 grams all-purpose flour
  • 200 grams sugar (You can take different types of sugar
  • 1 eggs mix in the cake dough
  • 1 egg yolk paint the top of the cake before it goes into the oven
  • 20 cm springbaking shape and a preheated of to 180 degrees

Preparation

1Mix the vanilla sugar and other sugar together in a bowl together with the butter untill you have a soft white mass then add the salt to taste (Important) and 1 egg. Mix it again and now add the sieved flour to the mix and add it to the bakingshape. Distribute it evenly. No higher than 3 cm."

2With a spoon you can easily level the dough and with a fork or knife you can make a make the traditional markings.

3Bake the boterkoek for approx 30 - 35 minutes at 180 degrees celcius. let it cool down slowly and enjoy
