Echte Aardbei: Real-Berry Vegan Strawberry Creami

Listen goed: a strawberry ice without real strawberries is a lie, and a vegan Creami without fat is a snow cone — so we bribe the berries with cashews and proper coconut milk, hè. Do not skip the little spoon of gum, and freeze the pint FLAT — tilt it and you deserve the crumbly mess you get. Follow Remy and it comes out zo lekker, so creamy, your dairy-loving friends will sulk into their empty bowls.

    Soak the cashews overnight in cold water (or boil 15 minutes for the impatient), then drain well.

    Blend strawberries, cashews, coconut milk, soy/oat milk, sugar, syrup, vanilla, lemon juice, salt and the 1/4 tsp gum on high for 60-90 seconds until completely smooth — zero seed grit, gum fully hydrated.

    Pour into the Ninja Creami pint only up to the MAX FILL line (discard or drink any excess), lid on, and freeze 24 hours FLAT on a level freezer shelf — a slanted pint spins into a tunnel-drilling disaster.

    Remove the lid, lock the pint into the outer bowl and spin on the 'Lite Ice Cream' program.

    Assess: if it comes out crumbly or powdery (normal for a fruit-heavy pint), add 1 tbsp (15 ml) plant milk and press RE-SPIN; repeat once more if needed until glossy and creamy.

    Optional mix-ins: carve a hole to the bottom with a spoon, drop in 40 g diced strawberries or vegan chocolate chips, and run the MIX-IN cycle.

    Serve immediately for peak creaminess; smooth the top of leftovers, refreeze flat, and re-spin next time.
