Note de dégustation

This appelation is interesting. This wine  is famous because the longlevity of the wine. Which can be several decades. Further more the content of the bottle... As this 62 cl. Which is according to the AOC rules from the region the amount of wine left after 3 months in a large barrique. This means the angels share is is 38cl in 3 months. That is quite a lot. The angels in the Jura are a thirsty bunch!

Corn and butter clear yellow. This wine has a special nose and creates the impression that the wine is a lot more alcoholic than you think. At "only" 14.50 vol. % alc. This is still moderate. Full of life, oak, ripe almonds and  yellow fruit is the scent of the primary nose. Follow by white licorice and honey. The acidity is high and shows that this wine needs a lot more time. The roast aromas and palette massage give a sneak preview if things to come. Nose and palette are not compatible. The finish is faint and  shows that this wine is too young to drink and needs at least another 5 - 10 years. From a wine adventure perspective this is excellent!
